Music Ministry: Job Description

Our parish Music Ministry serves to inspire and uplift the voices of all parishioners, providing a program as diverse as its people. Music leadership at all scheduled Masses is provided by the distinct choirs . These include:

  • 4:15 p.m.Folk Ensemble or Men's Choir (once a month)
  • 9:00 a.m.Senior Choir.

These voices unite with organ, guitar, and other instruments in making music an prayerful worship experience.

This ministry is continually seeking new members. If you play an instrument, or have a desire to sing, please consider one of our many music-making opportunities.

Mandatory Activities/Responsibilities

Music Ministry Member responsibilities are:

  • To attend respective scheduled Masses and lead parishioners in song
  • To attend weekly practices as scheduled for their respective choir(s) (September to June)
  • To assist in the preparation of music for the Sunday Liturgy and other special liturgical celebrations as requested by the Pastor
  • To attempt to engage all members by providing a welcoming and non-judgmental approach to choir

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

Music Ministry Members are parishioners who want to enjoy playing or singing at Mass with a choir.

Participation is open to all parishioners with music talent, with the exception of the Men's choir, which is open to all men of the parish.

This is a volunteer position.
